MiHIN Updates Requirements for Direct Secure Messaging Protocol

MiHIN announced today that its board has resolved to require all trusted data sharing organizations (TDSOs) participating in Michigan’s statewide Health Information Network (including all QOs, VQOs, CQOs, SSOs, SSSOs, DSOs, and SDSOs) which utilize the Direct Secure Messaging protocol as a mode of exchange with MiHIN to be fully onboarded and discoverable via the means supported by one of the following trust organizations:

DirectTrust

National Association for Trusted Exchange

The MiHIN board reserves the right to add to or remove from this list of trust organizations as required in its judgement from time-to-time via a future resolution of the board.
