Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer Proclaims Sept. 23- 29 as Health IT Week LANSING, Mich., Sept. 26, 2019 — To recognize the importance of health information technology, Governor Gretchen Whitmer has declared the week of Sept. 23 as Health IT Week in Michigan.. The focus of the week revolves around five focus areas - advancing public and population health, modernizing the public health infrastructure, accelerating workforce development, expanding access to broadband and telehealth and addressing social determinants of health. This September 23-27, Michigan Health Information Network Shared Services (MiHIN) is a proud partner of U.S. National Health IT Week. U.S. National Health IT Week is a nationwide action week focused on supporting healthy communities across the U.S. through the application of information and technology.
