Taylor Scott

Director, Preclerkship Curriculum, Michigan State University

R. Taylor Scott, DO serves as the director of Preclerkship Curriculum at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MSUCOM).  He provides leadership for departmental faculty in oversight of curriculum planning, implementation and evaluation of pre-clerkship curriculum.  He is tasked to develop policy, offer curriculum / faculty development leadership, develop and refine curriculum implementation processes at the college’s three campus sites.  Dr. Scott has experience in medical education in both pre and post graduate settings, having served as Clinical Skills coordinator at MSUCOM as well as Internship Director at Ingham Regional Medical Center in Lansing MI.  Dr. Scott also has a clinical practice on campus with the MSU HealthTeam and is jointly appointed in the MSUCOM Department of Family and Community Medicine.  Dr. Scott has interests in the support of evaluation of healthcare professionals in a variety of fields and is especially interested in communication in healthcare.  He is board certified in Osteopathic Family Practice.
