Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Meridian Health Plan & Meridian Rx
As Meridian’s Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Thomas Lauzon oversees Meridian’s Information Technology department, including staffing and budgeting as well as procurement and implementation of system and software development life cycles. Throughout his career, Mr. Lauzon led teams of architects in the design and development of award-winning medical and pharmaceutical proprietary managed care systems.
In addition to his seat on the MiHIN board, Mr. Lauzon is Co-Chair of Governor Snyder’s Michigan Health Information Technology Commission. He also serves on the Technology Committee for the State of Michigan Health Insurance Exchange, the Illinois Health Information Exchange Advisory Committee, the Iowa e-Health Business & Finance Sustainability Plan and the Oracle Industry Strategy Council. Mr. Lauzon continues to research and develop comprehensive solutions for improved health management for Michigan residents and providers.
Prior to joining Meridian, Mr. Lauzon was president and founder of the Computer Development Group, an information technology consulting firm focused on practice management software. When he isn’t working, Mr. Lauzon enjoys boating and attending sporting events in Detroit with his wife and five children, while also supporting Grosse Pointe Yacht Club management in his position as Rear Commodore. Mr. Lauzon has been fortunate enough to manage the Detroit Tigers during Spring Training for the past four years and hopes to one day learn to fly.
