MiHIN’s New Conformance Module In MIGateway
Conformance standards are designed to continually improve the data that flows through the Michigan Health Information Network, ensuring it is complete and actionable when it’s received by the practitioners using the information.
Hospitals must maintain data quality standards for all ADT (Admission, Discharge, Transfer) and Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA) transmission; conformance thresholds apply to all inpatient, observation, and ED visits.
MiHIN’s new Conformance Module in MIGateway will improve the way you view and improve your conformance scores and allow hospital users to view, filter, and interact with conformance reports in a variety of new ways. Additionally, you will also be able to view and download non-conformant ADT/CCDA message examples in an on-demand and real-time way to facilitate easier corrective action. Hospitals can expect to receive outreach from their account executives with the announcement and onboarding form to fill out soon.
In order to utilize the full capabilities of the conformance reporting, the user must first get a MIGateway account provisioned and have the Conformance Module activated. From there, the user may interact with the functionality within the module.
