Dear Network Participant,

We’re excited to share a one-month progress update on our Integrated Technology Platform (ITP) migration. We have entered our stabilization and improvement phase to ensure the modules available in MIGateway® (Longitudinal Record Viewer, Transitions of Care Viewer, etc.) are operating effectively and continue to meet user needs.

During this period, our team is closely monitoring system performance, working to address issues that arise, and meeting with stakeholders to identify and prioritize fixes and enhancements. We are providing updates below.

Current Migration Status

  • 11,700 individual users have successfully migrated to the new platform (as of 7.1.25)
  • Over 41 million lab results and 3 million radiology results (as of 7.1.25) have been backloaded into the Longitudinal Record (LR) Viewer

Data Expansion in Longitudinal Record (LR) Viewer

In response to network feedback, in addition to the six months of Lab data already backloaded into the LR Viewer, along with the C-CDAs back to October 2021, we’ve begun adding the below data to further help support your work. An updated contributors and data progress document is available on the website.

  • 6 months of Radiology Results data (back to December 2024)
  • Additional 6 months of Lab data (back to April 2024)

Active Care Relationship Service ® (ACRS ®) Updates

ACRS Population Normalization
To maintain consistency, MiHIN is standardizing the way ACRS population names appear in MIGateway dropdown menus. ACRS population will be transitioned to be listed in ALL CAPS.

  • For Orgs who submit Flat File ACRS®: begin selecting the ALL CAPS version of the file in ACRS file dropdowns. Note: You do not need to change your file submissions — these updates happen automatically.
  • For Orgs who use Manage ACRS®: begin using the ALL CAPS version of the file name when creating and updating active care relationships.
  • For Orgs who have set up Real-Time ACRS®: continue referencing the mixed case version of the ACRS population until additional updates are provided.
  • For Orgs whose population is already ALL CAPS, no action is needed.

ACRS® CareLink
If a user is not associated with an ACRS population that contains an active care relationship with a patient, they can use ACRS® CareLink to declare a relationship with a patient via the Patient Viewer. This additional functionality will assist in closing gaps for users who don’t send ADTs and only send monthly files which, currently, could preclude their ability to view patients in the Longitudinal Record (LR) Viewer. This functionality is estimated to be available by the end of July, and more details will be forthcoming.

ACRS Webinar
Please join us Tuesday, July 29 from 11am-12pm for The Download webinar where we will dive into an ACRS 101, including the Manage ACRS, Real-Time ACRS, and ACRS CareLink mechanisms. Register here.

Provider Results Viewer (PRV) Module Now Available

The Provider Results Viewer (PRV) is a tool which functions like an email inbox and is accessed via ITP MIGateway® to receive patient diagnostic and results information. ADT, lab, radiology, and transcription messages are sent in real time to the PRV. Consolidating this data within a single viewer offers a convenient way to manage it from a single location, as well as streamline into existing workflows for increased efficiency.

The PRV is designed for easy navigation, allowing users to customize their message display through multiple search and filter capabilities. Furthermore, a pdf report of every message is available, including the ability to download them individually or in bulk.

If your organization is interested in onboarding to the PRV module, please submit a Help Desk ticket or email help@mihin.org.

Additional Capabilities Based on Network Input

Several requested capabilities are now live or in progress, including:

  • Reorganizing Longitudinal Record (LR) Viewer Sections
In response to user input and usage patterns, we are reorganizing the layout of the LR Viewer so that the most frequently used sections appear at the top. This change is intended to reduce the amount of scrolling required and help you access key clinical information more quickly and efficiently. This work is anticipated to occur in Q3.
  • Single Sign-On (SSO) Customized Module Access
By default, MIGateway granted SSO users access to all modules in MIGateway. We are currently working to configure the system so only specific modules (like the LR Viewer, TOC Viewer, PRV, etc.) are visible and usable based on that SSO connection.

Additionally, our team is working with our SSO customers on additional enhancements needed on their end to allow users or organizations to be grouped in different categories and granted specific access, along with customizing what ACRS populations people have access to.
