We’re excited to announce a significant upgrade to the MiHIN’s referral management approach. On August 28, 2024, a brand new platform called MiHIN Referrals will replace the current ReferralsPlus tool.
Here’s what you can expect:
- Familiar User Experience: The user experience and interface was designed to be intuitive and easy to use. As such, the interface will remain familiar.
- Seamless Migration: To ensure a smooth transition, we’ve partnered with Holon Solutions to create a self-serve installation guide, along with training and enablement resources. A dedicated support team will also be available throughout the process to answer any questions.
- Dedicated Support: An expert support team will be available throughout the process to answer any questions. You can access support at any time by emailing referrals@mihin.org.
- Improved Workflow: MiHIN Referrals has the ability to seamlessly integrates with your existing EHR workflow, allowing you to initiate and receive referrals directly within your familiar system.

Your Action Items for a Smooth Transition
Step 1: Complete and Return Info Planner
Please access and complete the Practice Planner. This required MULTI-TABBED document helps us generate personalized instructions for your users regarding the uninstall/install/data export process. The completed form should be returned to referrals@mihin.org no later than August 9.
Step 2: Export Your Data
On or as close to August 28 as possible, the specified uninstall and go-live date, please download your historical and active referral data from ReferralsPlus, using this guide.
Please note: The new MiHIN Referrals platform is built on a different system than the current version. Due to this technical difference, historical and active referral data cannot be automatically transferred to the new platform on launch day. To ensure that you do not lose any critical information, it is imperative that you download historical and active data from the current system before uninstalling.

What is MiHIN Referrals?
MiHIN Referrals is replacing the existing ReferralsPlus platform on July 17, 2024 to offer a better user experience and allow for future updates.
