Meet Amelia Lynn Bennett

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]Amelia Bennett’s rural isolation and desire to stop unhealthy behaviors (smoking/drinking/eating poorly) make her a good candidate for use cases and services that involve social support organizations, consumer health engagement, and cross-industry care coordination.

Amelia Bennett was born and raised in a small town and loves identifying with that lifestyle. She can be found at each local event and festival, and attends every high school football game. She is the first to volunteer for any potluck, no matter the cause. Amelia married her high school sweetheart and is the mother of teenage twins. Living in a small town does have some drawbacks, especially when it comes to healthcare. There are just not many options and that impacts her health. Amelia is worried about her weight and what kind of example she and her husband are setting for their children. She always talks about quitting smoking, but has yet to truly fight her pack-a-day addiction. They also eat a lot of fast food, and it is rare that they do not share a drink (usually a beer) in the evening. Amelia has a lot of responsibilities that weigh on her mind, including helping her parents who suffer from diabetes and arthritis. It feels like everything is a challenge. Amelia also feels skeptical about healthcare and is intimidated by the complexities of understanding her care options. She would be interested in any option that could help her get control over her life, but on her terms. She just wants to make her life better and easier without leaving her hometown.
